Observing Worms in Kindergarten Science

In their Life Science unit, Kindergarten students have been studying the anatomy, behaviors, and habitats of earthworms. Students are practicing the skill of close observation using magnifying lenses and have been recording those observations through detailed drawings. During one of their observations, students discovered worm eggs amongst the soil, which sparked a discussion about the worm life cycle and the similarities and differences between worm parents and their offspring. Kindergarteners are eagerly awaiting the addition of baby worms to their Science classroom!
