- My VCS education made me curious. I learned to never be afraid to ask questions. You know everyone so well and have been with everyone forever, so you genuinely care about everyone. I still have friends from VCS who are my closest friends. You’re pulling for everyone and you’re invested in how everyone is doing then and now. My two best friends from VCS I see all the time.
- When I was in the Upper School our trips as a grade getting away and bonding at another location really stand out to me. The annual Upper School overnight trip to Massachusetts was especially important because it was our last time together.
My interest in fostering children's education and growth was undoubtedly influenced by my years at VCS. It wasn’t one moment. It was the whole VCS experience: the closeness of the community, the teachers' investment, and the individual attention. Even at six or seven it meant so much to me, and it still does.
