Jim Taylor (Search Committee Chair) is the parent of two VCS graduates from the class of 2018. Jim has served as Vice-Chair of the VCS Board of Trustees for the past five years, Co-Facilitated VCS’ most recent Strategic Planning Committee and has been an Admissions Parent Sitter. In addition, Jim serves as the President of the Chelsea Day School Board. Jim is a partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP. There, he serves on its Board of Partners, chairs it’s Advanced Media & Technology Department, serves as Co-Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is an active member of its LGBTQ Affinity Group. 

Eunu Chun is the parent of two VCS graduates from the classes of 2014 and 2019 and is currently in his fourth year as a member of the VCS Board of Trustees. He has also served on the Board of Trustees at First Presbyterian Church Nursery School and is a current member of the Board of Trustees of Little Red Elisabeth Irwin School (where he serves on the Executive Committee, the Investment Committee and the Endowment Committee). Eunu is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the private equity practice, where he serves on the Diversity Integration Task Force, the Finance Committee, the NY Operations Committee and the Recruiting Committee. He Co-Chaired Kirkland’s firm wide Diversity Committee for eight years.

Beverly Israely is an alumni parent from the classes of 2015 and 2017, and she has been a member of the Finance Committee at VCS since 2007. Beverly also served on the most recent Strategic Planning Committee and served as Secretary of the VCS Board of Trustees for two years. She was a Class Parent and an Admissions Parent Sitter during her children’s time at the school. She is a member of the Board of the New Shul, where she was Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee for seven years. Beverly is a Senior Vice President at PJT Partners where she runs Global Recruiting and leads the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts.

Chris Kiplok is a current Upper and Lower school parent and Chair of the VCS Board of Trustees. As Board Chair he sits ex officio on all the School’s governing committees. This is his third year as Board Chair, and fifth year as a Trustee. He previously served on the School’s Nominating Committee, Major Gifts Committee and as an Admissions Parent Sitter. He is Vice Chair of the Barrow Street Nursery School and Vice Chair of Greenwich House, Inc. Professionally, Chris chairs the Corporate Reorganization Department at the law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. There, he chairs the firm’s Personnel Committee and previously served on the firm’s Executive Committee.   

Tory Ruffolo is the parent of two alumnae from the classes of 2000 and 2002 and was a staff member at VCS for 21 years (1984-2005). Over the years Tory served on the VCS Board of Trustees as a Staff Member and as a Community Member. She also Co-Facilitated two Strategic Planning Committees for the School and sat on the VCS Search Committee for a Head of School (when Eve was hired). Tory has been an independent school educator for 40 years and recently retired after 10 years as the director of the West Village Nursery School. Before that, she was the founding Director of the Dwight School nursery school. Tory served on the Board of Early Steps and is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of the Chelsea Day school. 

Jennifer Allan Soros is the parent of a Lower school student and two VCS graduates from the classes of 2013 and 2015. She served on the School’s Nominating Committee, Major Gifts Committee, two Capital Campaign Committees, the most recent Strategic Planning Committee and the VCS Board of Trustees. She is the Co-Founder of Give Lively, a tech platform that provides free digital fundraising tools to non-profit organizations. A member of the Friends of the Highline Board of Trustees, Jennifer also serves as a board volunteer to national political organizations.
